Internal membrane opens under water pressure to allow free discharge flow, then closes to seal against foul odours and sewer gases. Allows air to be drawn into the discharge waste pipe during negative pressure, eliminating the need for secondary ventilation and offering greater flexibility in plumbing design. Easy to clean without disassembling pipework—simply remove the front split pin, take out the plug and membrane, clean with hot soapy water, then reassemble. No water seal means the membrane seal never dries out due to evaporation or lack of use, ensuring consistent performance. Important Note: WV-1 is not recommended for installation on kitchen or utility sinks.
