This ready-mixed blend of thermo-setting resins and inorganic fillers cures when exposed to heat, forming a mortar with excellent high-temperature resistance—up to +1250°C, including direct flame exposure. It offers outstanding adhesion to fire bricks, blockwork, stone, and clayware. Commonly used for sealing fire bricks, fire grates, flue pipes, flue bricks, boilers, and other applications exposed to extreme heat, Kos Flue Cement is suitable for both domestic and commercial use. The product is fully rated and independently tested by BSRIA to BS EN 1857 for chimney components and concrete flue liners (Class A1). Ideal for jointing and assembling domestic concrete flue liners, it can be used with domestic fires and stoves—whether coal, wood-burning, or gas, including flame effect units.
